Correspondence to Fidel Castro from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, asking for the release of Jose Pujals Mederos from prison as a humanitarian gesture. 1961, Mederos was sentenced to thirty years in prison as an accused CIA operative who was opposed to the Castro regime and coordinated resistance groups. He was released in 1988 after 27 years in prison.
