Venegas talks about how getting fired from the Easter Seals Society for refusing to comply with the director's unethical demands only boosted her independent spirit and led her to open therapy clinics across South Florida. She describes the way the idea of opening clinics to offer occupational and physical therapy came about, making her a pioneer in the Miami area.
