Interview with Norah Venegas on May 21, 2015, Segment 12
CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Venegas talks about the risk involved, and the rewards gained from losing her steady employment. Her new-found freedom gave her the flexibility to offer services that the community had been lacking, making therapy treatments available to all. She describes how by opening these therapy offices, not only was treatment offered to patients who otherwise would not have had access to these services, but job opportunities became available to many more professional therapists and health facilities were able to provide better and more ample health care services.
