CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Medina explains the political strategy that he implemented for Jesse Jackson’s presidential primaries campaign in Puerto Rico. He enumerates the political leaders that supported Jackson’s candidacy who were mainly from the Popular Party. Medina emphasizes that his main purpose was for Jackson to address the issue of Puerto Rico’s self-determination and the USA army presence in Vieques.
