Aldea discusses his experiences as the Vice President of El Mundo Newspaper in Puerto Rico in 1985. He explains that the differences between journalism in the 1980s and today is that current journalism is influenced by the sensationalism of reality television, while the era of classic academic and scholarly journalism has been greatly reduced in favor of personalizing the news to fit certain demographics.
