Rodriguez Calero asserts that through her work she conveys issues that most people can identify with such as integrity and a sense of compassion. She expands to talk about the themes that she selects for her pieces. She does not select them in advance, rather they develop from her surroundings and her work tend to be culturally, socially and politically motivated.
