CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Dr. Falú discusses the process of shifting her professional career centered in business and accounting towards the research, documentation and dissemination of Afro-Latinidad. She asserts that that changed occurred when she migrated to the United States and she studied the work of African scholars, such as Dr. Ben, which wake-up her curiosity for the topic. The study of African history and heritage also influenced her approach at the Falú Foundation where these topics were included in their educational programs.
