Interview with Georgina Falú on Jun 09, 2015, Segment 41
CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Dr. Falú talks about the process that led her to become the first dean of the University of Puerto Rico. She asserts that appointment responded to her hard work and was backed-up by the majority of her colleagues, however, she also remembers opposition even from another Afro-Puerto Rican. She argues that the objections responded to both racial and gender discrimination.
