CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Blackburn-Moreno explains that the discrimination during the 1960's was general and very visible in the schools. Students were taught by mostly white teachers who considered Puerto Ricans to be inferior. Puerto Ricans were not expected to graduate from high school.
