Interview with Ronald Blackburn-Moreno on Aug 11, 2015, Segment 8

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

The Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund formed similar to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund and the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund. It was an organization created to defend the legal rights of Puerto Ricans, mostly in New York and in Chicago. PRLDEF worked closely with Aspira, and was mentioned in the Consent Decree in 1974. PRLDEF has had many prominent Puerto Ricans on their Board, and now serves more diverse groups, not only Puerto Ricans.
