Protest against Mexican American entrepreneur and businesswoman Romana Acosta Bañuelos's labor practices. Ramona's Mexican Food Products, Inc. became a multimillion dollar business, often credited with the mainstream popularization of Mexican food in the United States. Acosta was a cofounder of the Pan-American National Bank in Los Angeles, and President Richard Nixon appointed Acosta 34th Treasurer of the United States from 1971-1974.
