CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Ortiz describes the Puerto Rican community's relationship with voting and elections, explaining that Puerto Ricans get confused when they move to the United States because there are so many governmental elections and they do not understand how the government works. Ortiz also mentions that in Puerto Rico, government departments do not work with each other, whereas in Orlando, all agencies work together to serve Florida citizens.
